The cable is the easy part. What makes a system work is the design that gets routes, containment and cabinet space right before first fix, and the configuration that ties it all together afterwards. I work alongside builders, developers and architects across Tonbridge, Kent and the South East - specifying from your drawings, fitting in around your programme and your trades, then commissioning and handing over networks, CCTV and automation the client can use from day one. One point of contact, from design through to handover.
Lighting control, heating, blinds, audio and access, designed to work as one system rather than five apps. I specify from your drawings at design stage, so the cabling, containment and cabinet space are right before the plaster goes on. Loxone is my platform of choice - reliable, properly wired and simple enough that the client isn't ringing anyone a month later. Where the budget is under close scrutiny, I offer a customised Home Assistant build that delivers most of the same capability for less outlay. Retrofit and refurbishment work too, where wired routes are limited and the answer has to be a sensible mix of wired and wireless. Every system is documented, so whoever picks it up next isn't starting from scratch.
Cat6 and Cat6A data cabling, fibre links, patch panels and properly built comms cabinets. Every data point labelled, tested and handed over with results, not just a bundle of cable stuffed into a cupboard. Wireless access points positioned by coverage rather than guesswork, with switching and VLANs configured to keep CCTV, AV, control and guest traffic apart. I'll take your drawings and come back with data point locations, cabinet layout and a cable route schedule your electricians can work to. Networks built this way stay reliable long after handover, whether it's a single dwelling or a small development.
IP CCTV, video door entry and access control, planned around real sight lines and approaches rather than dropping a camera on each corner. Cameras, NVR and storage sized for the retention the client actually wants, with remote access set up securely. Video intercom to gates and entrance doors, integrated with the smart home system where it makes sense, so a call can be answered from a phone or a wall panel. Gate automation and intercom cabling coordinated at first fix, before the driveway goes down. Systems installed with GDPR-sensible siting and clear documentation for the client.
Containment, back boxes, cable pulls and drops for data, AV, CCTV, control and speakers - done to programme and to a schedule you can check. I work alongside your electricians and plumbers rather than around them, so routes are agreed early and nothing gets buried in the wrong place. Cables labelled at both ends, drops photographed before boarding, and a marked-up drawing handed over so second fix isn't a treasure hunt. Speaker, TV, projector and rack positions confirmed with the client before anything is cut in. Pricing per plot or per project, whichever suits how you run the job.
Second fix, configuration, testing and a handover that doesn't land back on your desk two weeks later. Everything labelled, documented and demonstrated to the client in plain English, with a guide they can refer back to. Snags dealt with quickly, and remote support available so most questions get answered without another site visit. Ongoing maintenance and upgrades for developments and completed projects, either directly with the client or under your contract. If a previous installer left things half finished, I'm happy to pick it up, work out what's there and get it working.
